FG House

An extensive interior renovation of a 1960’s townhome in D.C.’s bustling Southwest neighborhood. A meaningful collaboration between client and architect focused on creating a home that serves as both a haven and a place for entertaining. The center of the home was completely opened up, allowing for a seamless transition between the kitchen, dining, and living spaces. Enormous skylights flood the home with daylight. The home is fitted throughout with bespoke details, cabinetry, and smart systems.

Brighter.

Daylight was introduced to the heart of the home with an open plan as well as the addition of skylights above the central stair.

Foyer and ground floor stair with built-in storage and reading nook.

Foyer millwork for convenience and storage.

Personalized.

The owner’s passion for cooking inspired a multizone kitchen approach. Distinct stations, separate wash zones, and commercial grade appliances make this an exemplary setting for evenings entertaining friends.
